History

Its historical significance lies in the wreckage of the famed WaveJinn sea vessel, a frigate from The Age of Dynasty that met a tragic end here, carrying an enigmatic ancient coffin and leaving no known survivors. The events surrounding the WaveJinn's demise and the enigmatic coffin have been immortalized in the play The Fate of the WaveJinn, regularly performed in the nearby Western Harvest Route.

Visitors to Alken Rock Coast can witness the remnants of the WaveJinn's wreckage. The old frigate, its name sign deteriorated but still legible as "WaveJinn," grinds against the rocks with each push of the waves. A captivating sight awaits beneath the surface, as a large seaweed-encrusted coffin lies upended amidst the ship's remains. Seals made of corroded metal, once attached to the coffin, now lay snapped around it.

Legend has it that the crew was transporting an ancient stone coffin that has been found during a treasure hunting expedition on some uncharted island. It is believed that remains of the shipwreck still can be found somewhere on the Char Cape Coast.
