Greetings, Traveller! As shipping administrator, me and my assistants keep careful tabs on all in and outgoing Junction goods. Private merchants charter our services to ferry their goods across the land...
But the greatest bulk of cargo consist of tax goods that is shipped to us from local tax wardens all across the Southlands.
The tax cargo earmarked for tax rebate distribution then gets sent on to their recipient communities. All tax surplus after the tax rebate quotas have been filled gets shipped on to Kasa. There it is to be administered by the Council to be used on public works or shipped overseas for foreign export
Shoes like these are common to the train depot in the Western Verve Junction, where the tombac toe was invented by a workers healer named Sarja and was manufactured by the spouses of the workers and engineers of the depot. Making tombac-toes has since those days become a weekly social past-time where the families of the workers come together to drink tea, gossip and make foot protectors. Surplus tombac toes are traded for teas and delicacies shared and enjoyed at the meetings.
