One-eyed Merchant Dialogue

Dialogue conditions Dialogue
When you first speak to One-eyed Merchant I have something special on offer just for you but it comes with a cost...

2) Hint

If you trade with them again, they will offer you the Banal love poem knot as a hint for who you must speak to next.

Oh, my Memet. Your eyes are umber like my mother's soup. If I could drink from them I would.

Oh, my Memet. Your lips are like two caterpillars, they would surely become butterflies should I kiss them.
Oh, my Memet. Your back is like a flagpole, waving the banner of love for me from your pavilion.

Oh, my Memet. It seems your replies are getting lost in transit, please hire more reliable messengers.

Note - You do not necessarily need to trade for this knot, you can examine the item card from the trade window instead to see the hint.

3) A lead

This hint directs you to Memet Crom, located in Crossings, who will advise you to find a powerful mystic that will help in your quest to lift the curse. They know that a Wolf's tooth and a Shade resin will be needed, but that the mystic may require other items.

Note - If you did trade for the Banal love poem knot, you can exchange this with Memet Crom for 1x Knot of thankful wishes.

Memet Crom Dialogue

Dialogue conditions Dialogue
When you first speak to Memet Crom That curse you are carrying with you... By the nature of my work here I own some experience in curses and their remedy... If you take my advice, you'll begin to keep a lookout for ingredients that will be needed to lift a curse such as yours... Of course you will need the favour of some powerful and resourceful Mystic, and here I can't help you... I can however guarantee that you are going to need at least a shed wolves' tooth, and some shade resin, for starters... Shades tend to inhabit dark and lifeless places, and the resin can sometimes be found left behind after their passing. A shed wolves' tooth, as the name suggests must be given freely by the wolf. Not a straightforward thing to accomplish, I'm sure. I have no idea how it can be done, but I wish you all the best in trying. I'm sure your Mystic assistant will need a few other things as every practitioner of the mystic arts tends to have their own style... Just so that you are prepared for the inevitable. Good luck and all the best, my friend! If you need any magical equipment to help you on your quest of liberation, don't forget the fine creations my Artificers can offer! Bye, now..!
If you exchange the Banal love poem knot Oh...Another one of those...Here is a little something for your trouble. I would appreciate in future, should you be trusted with more of these messages...You drop them in the Verve instead of giving them to me. Thank you.

4) The mystic

Resna Rosespring is a known powerful mystic, who is located in Charwood Forest. She will reveal the remaining ingredients to be a Willow nut and a Curse stone.

Note that when you have the curse, you are unable to trade with Resna.

When you first speak to Resna Rosespring while cursed Really, Khelim...? The Dealer of Shades..? Well, I guess you won't be the last... You sure as a Yappa's droppings aren't the first to go for what that creature was offering. Now to lift a curse like that, I am going to need a few very special ingredients... So ready a note string and Knot this down: A Curse Stone, one Willow Nut, one Wolf's Tooth and finally a pinch of Shade Resin. Return when you have these four items at hand, and we'll take it from there, champ! Happy hunting! Oh... ...And it will sting like a bastard! Just so you know.

5a) Relief

When you have gathered all the ingredients, exchange them with Resna to remove the curse, and the quest is complete!

Resna Rosespring Final Dialogue

Dialogue conditions Dialogue
After Resna lifts the curse The curse is lifted! Now, The Dealer of Shades is known to tempt gullible folk again and again. Don't prove yourself an idiot by accepting anything from The Dealer of Shades a second time!

5b) Return

If you have the Eye of the Taker's Curse status effect, you can travel to the Old Kasa Graveyard and visit the Nameless gravemarker.

An exchange icon will appear and you may place the ring on the gravemarker.

You place the ring onto the gravemarker and you feel something lift from your shoulders, your posture straightens, the feeling of malaise dissapates and your lifewind turns clear once more.
You peer down at the gravemarker but it seems that the ring has disappeared along with the curse.

This outcome will remove the curse but you must give up the ring.
