In days long gone when tombac, let alone ferrite swordsmithing was still out of reach for asken folk crafters, crescents were made from bell metal. More easily worked and pliable than harder alloys and metals, bell metal blades dull quickly and are easily bent out of shape from parrying or striking hard surfaces like armour and even wood. Appearing to be recently forged, however, this weapon is most likely a work of an apprentice swordsmith studying past techniques of crescent smithing.
