Many species of poppy grow across Braided Shore. Shifting from deep cinnabar to cinnabar-sulphur hues, the poppy is greatly beloved for its strong colour and ability to blossom even in meager soil. As the colour cinnabar symbolises fire and life, poppies are a common sight on the window sills of farmers' dwellings as a token of thanks to the Winds for the safety and hearth and home. Bouquets of ribboned poppies are traditional gifts when celebrating the birth of a child.
