The Braided Shore rose thrives only in the wild. It is not known why, in spite of the greatest care and attention, not even the finest botanist can keep the buds of the Braided Shore rose from withering on its stems when cultivated. As long as it exposed to a fresh Wind and some sunlight, however, a wild rose-flower may stay fragrant and fair for quite some time in a flower-crown, hat-bouquet, or pinned to the lining of a hood. The wild rose is often worn by nature folk and those who stand by the principles of nature shunning the cities and the Asken-made.
