Similar to the Cog delivery quest, the Myrt Tea Auction sheds light on some internal conflict within House Yehan.
It also supports the statement of the House Yehan Botanist that there is friendly rivalry and bickering between the three noble houses.
This quest marks the first appearance of the third noble house, House Nehm within the game.
I heard some merchant grumble about having to go to the Open Teahouse Market in Myrt to barter for Myrt Tea.
