Look here, folks! I've managed to capture one!
The Apprentice Mystic travels from town to town displaying a Dwarf Kettem that they captured. Their ultimate goal is to prevent Kettem and Asken folk conflict.

The crux is what we mystics call the centre that powers the Kettem...The heart that the half-Winds infuse with the motive energies that make the constructs move about...I know someone who's making her apprenticeship in Point Bura, who might just be a little nicer to me if I offer it for her study. |

Bystander Dialogue
The Apprentice mystic presence in towns causes NPCs within it to speak unique dialogue relating to them. Because of this certain NPCs are not able to provide important dialogue and quests.
