This plate seems to have been made from an alloy forged from multiple metals into one. The design of the plate is simple and functional and was most likely made as proof-of-concept rather than something intended for use in combat. There is a Rivenleaf stamp in the metal and, on further inspection, you notice a series of thin knots spelling out "Pending New Foundry Approval."
