These cinnabar fruits are harvested when ripe, and laid out beneat the sun to dry. The treatment will make them tart, but they will last in your backpack for many seasons. These particular tomatoes are kept in a simple bag typical of New Foundry workers, and were likely meant to be the foundation of a simple lunch.
