Old bag of akki seeds

The akki plant is a berry bush that only sports its large white berries during the winter. The bush absorbs stores of water through its roots and leaves during the rain season and then pumps that water into its berries when it starts to snow. The berries are mostly water and freeze in the cold, making for a sweet refreshing snack.
The problem with the akki berries are that they cannot be transported or stored without melting, leaving only akki seeds. Akki seeds taste less sweet than the berries but are still a common spice used by the Malku Su. Due to its very precise climate needs, all attempts to grow an akki bush in Braided Shore have failed.
