The Quest

1) Starting the quest

Speak to Knot Binder Ethel and pass her +1 Endeavour. She will give you additional dialogue

How sweet of you to inquire...

Well between me and you, what I really need to grow my business are some powerful raw materials that I can dismantle and re-craft into more potent Knots.

Creatures like Maisu, kettem and shades often leave such items behind when they have been destroyed.

If it is in your power, I can promise you good trades for any such item that you bring me.

2) Maisu Ghost String

Acquire a Maisu ghost string. There are two known way to do this:

• Fight and defeat any kind of Maisu, a relatively rare enemy
• Find the red chest in an alcove in The Underbelly in the Hall of Statues which always has a Maisu ghost string in it.

3) Return to Ethel

Give her the Maisu ghost string. If you have triggered the quest item request and have an item in your inventory, you will not be able to trade with Ethel until you make the trade or have put the item in a pocket.

This quest can be repeated.
