A cannibalistic and invasive species of crab that arrived in Bat Saha a few generations ago.
While no one knows for certain how the crab arrived in Braided Shore, some suspect that they may have clung to the keels of Sah Basir clanships making port on the island.
Within just a few cycles, the crabs had decimated the other crab species on the island's coast and now reign undisputed among Braided Shore's crustaceans. For fear that the Saha crabs may spread to the rest of Braided Shore, the Councils have made it illegal to bring living specimen to the mainland and ships must have their hulls and keels regularly inspected for shelled stowaways.
The Saha crab is equipped with a single powerful claw that can easily crush the shells of lesser crabs (along with the finger bones of Asken folk).
