Lore
The Old Lady alludes to some catastrophe or scandal that led to the Jesem Lodge being in ruins. Although some family traditions are still preserved, such as a special Jesem Tea Ceremony, as a descendant of the House of Jesem, she is quite content to live a more obscure life.
Interestingly, even though the Visiting Jesems are from around Kasa, they seem to be able to travel to Charwood Forest without any issue with the blockade.
