The mirt lippa, also known as the weaver spider, has developed a highly interesting manner of capturing prey. The insect instinctually collects fur and hair from both animals and Asken folk which it then coats in a sticky, sweet-smelling, secretion. It uses the hair to weave large nets not too dissimilar to that of an arachnid.
Smaller insects and birds that are attracted by the secretion end up as the mirt lippa's prey, trapped in its nets.
