Not many today know of the Sand Striders, an old nomad's tale from the South. The Sand Strider was said to be a giant insect that would effortlessly glide across the desert sands on its giant legs. When encountering wandering travellers, the Strider would keep its distance and encircle their camps with a metal web come sunset, to protect them from night-time predators.
There is still no evidence for this creature ever existing - is it merely a myth? Or have any remains simply been buried beneath the dunes?
