If a city resident has the unfortunate luck of getting a pebble stuck in their shoe, they might simply remove their shoe and shake the pebble out. In the countryside however, folk believe that pebbles hop into their shoes intentionally.Pebble Omin as the common folk believe them to be, have a striking resemblance to ordinary pebbles. If a pebble Omin decides to hop into someone's shoe, it would be terribly rude to toss them out again.Rural people will continue going about their day until they get home and then deposit the pebble into a chest, a vase or a small pot by their front door. Having an Omin Pebble collection in one's house is said to bring luck from the Omin, grateful for being allowed into the person's home.
