Riverfield is a place whose very existence is hotly disputed. However, this does not stop goods ostensibly from Riverfield to be purchased by those who want to believe.
There is some suggestion that the inhabitants of Riverfield transgressed in some way that resulted in their existence and possibly the memory of the place ever having existed being erased from the memory of the world.

I will hear no more about Riverfield, on your head be the consequences if you chose to pursue this further.
Pears preserved for ages from a place that does not exist. Perhaps Riverfield existed once, before they committed some unspeakable Taboo. But if no one remembers them anymore, then did they exist at all?
