Forms are the rough equivalent of classes in Book of Travels. As such they are one of your most important choices during character customization. Unlike in other video game RPGs, the focus of Forms is more centered on the roleplay aspect, more akin to tabletop gaming. Each form has been inspired by a combination of archetypes. In creating the Forms, our research took in personality theory from many disciplines including Comedia dell’arte, Chinese Theatre and Jung’s twelve personality types. All have been sources of inspiration rather than templates, and our main intention has been to build a framework that allows players to create complex, nuanced personalities.
A form is a basic wanderer archetype used as a starting template to create a new Player Character. Your chosen form determines a range of options and pre-set characteristics for your wanderer and can also inspire you to roleplay in a certain way.
