Dialogue
When you speak to the Bridge Sentry for the first time Hello, Traveller! Welcome to the rail workers' lodge! I keep an eye on the bridge and the timelines of the trains from my lovely perch here. If I notice a train running behind schedule, I fire off a red flare Knot to signal that they should try to speed things up. If a train runs ahead of schedule I fire up a blue flare instead. Sometimes, just to give the engineers some recognition, or if one of them is having a birthday, I fire up a green flare just to celebrate. You might have already discovered already that Sundays are reserved for our weekly rail workers' meeting, where we discuss work-related topics and socialise. The brothers and sisters of the railway welcome unexpected guests, so don't be shy mingling with us when you have the chance.
When you speak to the Bridge Sentry for the second time Can I interest you in a train pass? I have trained my cat to sell train passes. No pun intended. You don't believe me? Ask my cat to trade for a train pass , and behold the wonder!
If you speak to the Bridge Sentry with Birth Wounds You look worse for wear, Khelim. You should go get looked after at the nearest Teahouse! Go across the bridge and keep heading West along the road, and you will soon come to the city of Crossings. Suffering as you are, the woman running the Teahouse there will take care of you, I wager. And for Sefra's sake, take the pedestrian bridge! Do NOT walk on the train tracks! Unfortunately THe Coroners have closed the local train station. Otherwise, you could have taken the train. Alas, it would have been a mighty short trip, but it could still have been fun.

Lore

The Bridge Sentry keeps track of the schedule of the trains, giving appropriate flares to signal the railway drivers. They also hold a weekly meetup with their fellow railway members as the Rail Workers' Lodge to socialise and discuss about work. They are also a good friend with Post Warden Vastila, having played Shatran with her.[1]

Every day I see folk walking on the rails over Char Cape Passage. There is a walkway right next to the rails. I do not understand why travellers and Khelim insist on traversing the dangerous tracks. I have conductors yell at me every day for not keeping people off the rails but what do they want me to do?!
I'll have to ask Vastila for advice.
