There are multiple NPCs who are referred to as Bandit.

They will be distinguished as

• Treasure Cart Bandits guard a large cart with a chest underneath it or only a chest and are Combat#Hostile
• Mugger Bandit
• Hostile Bandit

Mugger Bandit

The Mugger Bandit is a Mugger NPC. They ask for 5% of the Trade Value of your inventory. This bandit doesn't drop anything.
